College Dance Team Expo

Larkspur Dance & Choreography is pleased to provide this new opportunity for high school dancers in Missouri and Kansas!  Why attend the College Dance Team Expo?

 

 

  • Learn collegiate level material from dancers on talented and successful college dance teams!
  • Get valuable feedback from college dancers and coaches that will help prepare for tryouts!
  • Learn about a number of different college programs in one location!  It’s like 17 college visits in one day!
  • Get recruited to be on a college dance team and earn scholarship money!
Check out the teams who will be there!  We are thrilled to have colleges of all sizes from four states coming to the Expo!  There’s representation from the NCAA Division 1 & 2, the NAIA, and club teams!  This variety gives dancers a chance to explore what they would like to pursue in college, be it a game day experience, fierce competition, campus involvement, or all of the above!

 

Open to all high school grade levels.

Early registration recommended as space will be limited.

Schedule:  

8:30-9:00 checkin/warm-up on own

9:00 Routine 1 Pom:  NWMSU Bearcat Steppers

9:45 Meet and greet with college coaches

10:15 Routine 2 Jazz:  K State Classy Cats

11:00 Meet and greet with college coaches

11:30 Routine 3 Game Day:  KU Rock Chalk Dancers

12:15 Meet and greet with college coaches

12:45 Routine 4 Hip Hop:   Missouri Western Mystics

1:30 dismissal

 

What to wear:

Form fitting tank or bra top with dance shorts, leggings, appropriate dance footwear, and collegiate game day appropriate hair and makeup.

 

What to bring:

Water bottle, snacks, poms, optional change of shoes for the different routine styles, signed waiver if you choose not to upload it prior to the day of the Expo, payment if you have’t prepaid online.  

 

In keeping with the format of most dance team auditions, this event will only be open to college coaches and the participating college and high school dancers.  No observers will be admitted.
