Kansas Competitions
I was so happy to be asked to judge the Miss Kansas Dance and Drill Team Festival this year! It’s such a neat contest! I love how the director, Gail Holder, always makes it about something more than trophies. This year the focus was on being present (put away those phones and really connect!), remembering what’s important (friends and family) and exercising your influence. I loved that last one because I think a lot of times we don’t realize how much of a positive impact we can have. It was a great day at Olathe South, spent with some of my favorite people, and watching some really great routines! And Natalie got an opportunity to be a judge at the ONE Love Movement Showcase back in November, hosted by the Olathe North Eaglettes! I’m proud to say those little cuties are a fantastic Kansas City Classic team and they and their coach are doing some wonderful things to spread the love for dance! Many thanks to our neighbors in the Sunflower State for letting us be a part of two great events!

A really pretty routine from that day. One of many.
