More Judging In Indiana!
I got the opportunity to hang out with great friends at the Lake Central Dance Invitational! Crazy long day and something like 150 performances, all of them fabulous I might add! It’s the longest running dance team competition in Indiana and it brings together more than 50 teams. Huge amount of talent at this competition! It was a joy to be a part of it. Got to see my friends Brett and Sara and sweet, sweet Liz Hathaway! And spending time with (she’ll kill me for saying this) esteemed choreographer of past Orange, Alamo, Liberty and Gator Bowl Games, Kelly Berheide, is always so much fun! Yep, I’m like her stalker. 😀 The event is hosted by our good friend Kevin Mathis and his 13 time state champions and 4 time national champions Lake Central Centralettes Dance Team. Thanks so much for having me…especially since you’ve witnessed all kinds of antics that would certainly make you think twice before extending the invitation, or at least give you a moment’s pause. Wow, this is so very much like when Annelle in “Steel Magnolias” said, “Miss Truvy, I promise that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair….or judge dance teams effectively.” Yeah, I added that last part.
Love and grand jetes (which I like pronouncing “grand jeets” instead of “grahnd juhtay.” It’s more fun that way.),
