Thank You, Olathe North Eaglettes!

Natalie and I had a blast judging the ONE Love Movement Showcase this month at Olathe North!  There was so much talent there, plus a great vibe of service and spreading love and uniting people through dance.  I saw some fantastic routines!  My favorite was the Project Access dancers pictured below.  The Eaglettes work with these special and amazing dancers every weekend and performed with them for the crowd at the showcase. What a fantastic part of the service component that is being instilled in this powerhouse program.  It makes me really proud to be a part of dance teams in this area.  As I scroll through social media I see so many of our Kansas City Classic teams collecting items for those less fortunate and putting in service hours teaching little ones.  I’m thankful for these coaches that know how important it is to instill this ability to look outside ourselves and help others.  Many thanks to the Olathe North Eaglettes and their coaches for letting Natalie and I be a part of this special day.  I was driving home feeling very fortunate and just loving this area we live in, right in the middle of “nowhere” to those that just don’t know.  Right in the middle of EVERYTHING to those of us who do.  And if that last sentence didn’t make any cynics want to puke, this will.  On my way to the interstate I spotted two gorgeous hot air balloons in the big blue Kansas sky.  AND I turned on the radio just in time to hear the first verse and chorus of Blessed, one of my very favorite songs by Kansas’s own Martina McBride.  You just can’t make this stuff up.

ONE Love,

Melanie
